Things…many, many things need to be done the way Josh needs them to be done. For a while I thought that he was making a choice in being so precise, exact…and honestly, a pain in the butt!
Turns out, his need for patterns and rhythm drive his pain in the butt-ness. It leads his everyday mundane responsibilities to be experienced as major events. Deviation from the pattern causes anxiety, discomfort, and sometimes physical pain.
It’s not easy dealing with his rigid process, especially because I’m pretty opinionated myself, and don’t care too much for being told I’m wrong everyday. Everyday!
I’ve gone half crazy trying to figure this kid out. Now, I’m grateful that I’m understanding Josh more than ever before. Also, wine. I’m grateful for wine. And Josh. But, wine.
