Extra, extra, read all about it!
The world ma be in chaos these days, but when you have a kid on the autism spectrum you’ve gotta move steady ahead. So, it’s not really new news, it’s the same ole news. Recycled, really.
Here’s what’s been happening: There’ve been Josh shut downs in the middle of America’s shut down, he’s had 7 TMS treatments, medication adjustments, SSI has reinstated his monthly disability check (it might have to be paid back if the determine to kick him to the curb permanently), and he’s been enjoying virtual comedy shows.
I’ve been dealing with the Social Security Administration, Ticket to Work, Vocational Rehabilitation, Autism Specialists, TMS Therapists, insurance for the last two mentioned, and visiting the ABC Store on a regular basis (called liqueur stores in other parts of the country)!
For this being a time when we’re doing nothing, a lot is getting done…as she says with a smug look on her face…oblivious that you can’t see it, cuz she’s wearing a mask.
Leave us a note if you like this episode! Love to hear from you.

WOW!!! thank you Josh! The way you described depression – the edges being dark – is wonderful. It’s sooo much how I try to describe it as well. It’s hard to put into words. I remember one medication trial I was on. After about a week on the new med, the doctor asked how I felt. The only thing I could say was, “trees are GREEN!!!”. I mean I knew they were green, but with that gauzy film of depression lifting, I could actually SEE the green in ways I somehow couldn’t before.
. I hope that makes sense.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. And thank you for letting me hear someone else try to explain what depression is like, and how it feels when you get relief, no matter how small. I hope it only gets better for you as time goes on.
