Parents worry about their kids, that’s just the way it is. But when your child is autistic, that worry turns into fear on a whole new level. The real concern is – what will happen to them once I’m gone. Who will take care of them, will they have a place to live, will they be safe, can they survive?
It’s intense, real stuff.
Autistics can be savants, but most are not. They do have amazing gifts though; those gifts just need to be discovered. Parents spend time searching for that thing that makes the world a happier place for their autistic child. The idea that money can be made through doing that “thing” is amazing.
I talked to a gentleman today that has a business that helps painters that are on the spectrum get paid for their artwork. The artists make money, but equally as important, their self-esteem gets a huge boost. As a result, lives have improved for the individual and their families. Super cool!
I love this business plan! If you know an artist on the spectrum, check out www.zenaviv.com
