~ Clearly Muddled Blog ~
Josh’s favorite people to hang out with are the characters of whatever current book he’s reading. He doesn’t watch television, so our time together usually involves eating, and eating, and eating, and then going out to eat.
We all know that he needs his alone time, and have learned that that’s when he recharges for the next conversation or interaction. We have learned to leave him alone. Period. But last week, his hibernation felt different…he felt off. It started with a headache, chills, exhaustion, and then a high fever. Covid!
He says it wasn’t because the test was negative. It was Covid. Fortunately, it didn’t get any worse, and after isolating for a week he was back to normal. Which is basically isolating by choice.
I’m happy to have him back to feeling like himself again. It’s not at all lost on me that the only difference having Covid made on his routine is that I took his food to him in his room, where he ate alone. Technically he was alone… the room was full with the multitude of characters he enjoys so much.
